I live in Qatar and I have signed up in paypal, I have some money in it and I want to withdraw it to my Visa card. I know that QNB has a partnership with Paypal so I was wondering if  I can withdraw money to my QNB visa card or mastercard?

You can't withdraw funds from your paypal account in your country.

The only people that can are US residents working or staying in your country who can link their bank accounts. This is because paypal is a US company and their users can link their bank accounts to every other countries paypal accounts.

Click on the link below and select the country you want from the drop down list for options available in that country.

I have the same issue and it is extremely frustrating! Paypal is literally holding my funds captive. While setting up the paypal account being in Qatar, it was at no point very clearly specified that in order to link your bank account you need to have a US bank account.

Isn't it possible for paypal to send me a check with my money instead?

I dont think PAYPAL can send you a check, there is just no arrangement with any local bank to do so.

You may as well just spend the money buying something where Paypal is accepted OR if you know someone in another country you could trust, send him the money via friend and family and ask him to send it back to you either cash,or via western union if there is one,or AMEX traveller check or wiretransfer.

We dont really know what is available in your country?

Our neighbors ex. UAE, are able to withdraw using Cedit cards or Atm cards. Paypal should offer the same to Qatar. I wanted to open my busniness account with paypal due its name but thats not going to happen especialy with other competitive offers available in the market.

Nothing has happened and I would be surprised if something does happen. When I asked the same question as you may see in this thread, I was cleverly (not) advised to send my money in another country so that my friends could transfer the funds to their bank and then send it over to me. Or buy staff on the internet...

I had 4000 USD in my paypal, not knowing that in Qatar you are not able to withdraw as this is not clearly specified and I ended up having to use other people's accounts in other countries so as to take my money out. I ended up losing about 700$ in fees during the process which was so unacceptable and of course made me furious, but I literally had no choice.

I stoped using paypal for business and I am using other ways now. I only use paypal only if I want to buy a pair of shoes or something.

I tried really hard to solve this, most of my emails to customer service remained unreplied and I had to call more than once long distance so as to actually speak with someone from paypal. Paypal is blaiming the Qatari governemnt for this, saying that the central bank here doesnt allow this or something. For me, it's 100% paypal's fault that i lost so much money on fees and had to struggle so much so as to find a solution.

PAYPAL SHOULD HAVE A NOTICE IN BOLD CAPITAL LETTERS TO ANYONE OPENING A NEW ACCOUNT IN QATAR SAYING: YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO WITHDRAWN YOUR MONEY FROM PAYPAL UNLESS YOU HAVE A US BANK ACCOUNT. IF YOU AGREE, PLEASE PROCEED WITH OPENING YOUR NEW ACCOUNT. Then, it's up to you to decide and you are responsible for agreeing.

On top of that, paypal in Qatar doesn't allow you to send money as friends and family so again, you have to pay fees for every simple transaction. Unacceptabel service for a company that wants to be no1 in online funds transaction.

someone provided a link where you can find out what is available in your country.

Besides the issue with local banking regulation,it may not be feasible for Paypal as a business to spend money developing certain local markets,it could be not enough participants or the cost of overcoming  barriers is too $$ high.

Since you are not presenting any actual facts so as to back up your claim in terms of costs or Paypal usage in Qatar and the Gulf region in general, than your argument is pure speculation so I am afraid I cannot take it into serious consideration. In addition, the link that you provide works as an aftermath in Qatar's case and since not being able to withdraw money is NOT standard practise, Paypal has responsibility to inform any new user from the very beginning and not use any possible fine print hidden in the depths of legal documentation as an excuse for that. I had to find out the hard and very expensive way and possibly others had similar experience to mine. Being able to send money as family and friends surely doesn't include any cost on PayPal'S end other than losing money from fees, so again I personally consider it unethical to not being offered as an option in Qatar.

Since this is a user forum no one can offer anyting mroe than speculation and opinion.

If you want specific business and account information you need to make a phoen call to PayPal customer service.

No one here can speak on behalf of PayPal.
