Hey,
My account randomly got locked today because of: "someone tried to acces my account". And now I need to send them legal documents eg: ID. First, why even? If some one tries to acces my account but fails, a password change would be enough right? I read that after 180 days you can withdraw to your bank. Since I really do not wanna send my ID, can I just withdraw it after 180 days withouth providing a ID?

PayPal will not release funds to a random person. The account holder must provide positive ID. PayPal doesn't care if you provide ID or not or if you get your money or not. That is your choice: No ID, then no money. Quite simple.

Thanks for your reply. But why if some one tries to acces my account, I need to provide my ID?
