How to remove a bank when PayPals system gives you the runaround?

I just want to remove a bank from my account. I've been trying off and on for about a month and a half.

- I try on the website and get the error "We are not able to process your request. Please try again later."
- I tried e-mailing and got a reply of how to do it online, replied to that and got no reply back.
- I tried calling, get the runaround from the system, asked for an agent was told to try again later.
tried again later, was told a very long wait time, and that I should accept the option for them to call me when it was my turn, I did, no call.

Are humans still working at PayPal?   Is there anything left to try past this post?   Any viable alternatives to PayPal?

P.S. at this point it seems kind of ironic that to post this I have to check a box saying "I'm not a robot"

You may have to wait ,in case there is unfinished business with your bank account.

you can change it from primary funding source to secondary if you are concerned it may be used to make payments.

It's never been the primary funding source, it's been over a year since I've used it last, and it's been closed already.
