Your documents are still being examined? What does it mean?

Hello there,

Just today I changhed my password as I coul not remember it. Got the verification code via sms and all seemed to be working just fine. When I tried to log in with the new password I got

Vielen Dank für Ihre Rückfrage. Ihre Dokumente werden noch geprüft. Wir senden Ihnen eine E-Mail, sobald wir Ihre Identität bestätigt haben.

which translates to

We just check your documents

Thanks for your inquiry. Your documents are still being examined. We will send you an email as soon as we have confirmed your identity.

Why is that? I am kinda worried as my paypal is linked to my bank account.

EDIT: I should prob mention that I am getting that message even though I did not upload any document!

I somehow managed to get in and indeed my account is limited. It says somebody might have tried to access the account. 

Apparantly somebody uploaded a photo ID a few days ago. That was not me! What should I do? 😞

Kind of scary stuff!

EDIT It got really hacked. I am going through my bank papers and somebody has been buying stuff with my account! Help please 😞

It seems like this should be an urgent phone call to PayPal customer service.

Posting on a public forum isn't going to get the help you really need now.  If someone else is attempting to change something on your account it is an urgent matter.

There are a lot of Germans who specak English.

German speak English,some better than others,call them.

If the hacker is using your Paypal account to buy things,Paypal will claw the money back from those sellers of things.
