Users being forced to open a PayPal account

Hello,

I am using PayPal Standard (in Canada) to link with my membership system on WildApricot.  Suddenly the payment page is forcing people to "Create a PayPal" account rather than allowing them to pay without doing so.

When I first set the system up this was working correctly.

I have a business accout, verified, and "PayPal Account Optional" is set to YES.

Note that I am currently testing the site from a US location (I am out of town) on a hotel IP address so I am not sure if that is the issue or if something else is wrong.  I am using the same account for payments from an Ecwid store and it is still functioning correctly.

Any help would be appreciated, it is time sensitive.

Thank you,

Anthony

Thanks but unfortunately that's not an option for me right now -- so I'm trying here.

Do you have any suggestions?

I guess you'll just have to wait until someone understands whay you are trying to explain.

What part is unclear?

When I first setup the payment system with WildApricot, users had the option of paying with a credit card without signing up for a PayPal account.

Now, in the past few days, that is no longer an option -- the only options are to pay with a paypal account OR to create an account and pay.  Users no longer have the option of paying without creating a PayPal account.

Many thanks for any assistance.

WildApricot is a membership platform through which we use PayPal to accept payments for membership dues.  It is listed as a partner of PayPal.

That said I changed my settings to "Express Checkout" and it seems to be functioning correctly now.

Thank you for your quick responses.
