Hi,
I'm trying to add money from my bank account to my PayPal, but I can't because I think my account has a limitation on it.
Whenever I click on 'Add Money', I get this message:
"We were unable to confirm your personal information at this time. To find out what we need from you, go to the Resolution Center."
When I go to the Resolution Center, there's no case or anything. There's no way for me to confirm my personal information. When I click on the 'Email Us' option, I can't even send an email because it's asking me for the Case ID, but there's no cases that need resolving...
Do I make a new account? I'm so confused. :'(

Wow and now I get an email saying "We are pleased that your account has now been reinstated." <-- LOL? But it's not? Because I still have limitations on my account and there's no cases to even resolve. So good one, PayPal.
Why is it such a hassle to add money to my PayPal account from my bank account if I've done it many times in the past?

Hi Mikerowave,
I'm sorry to hear about the trouble. 😞 It sounds like our automatic identity verification system wasn't able to verify your identity when you tried to add funds. If this process fails enough times, that error message will show and the verification would need to be completed manually. I recommend contacting Customer Support in that case to complete that process.
I hope this has been resolved by now. If this is what I think it is, then it's a one time process and once the information has been verified you will not need to complete the process again.

Ever since I tried to add my moms bank account to my paypal account it' been driving me crazy. I tried adding my moms account to my paypal so I could withdraw money since I don't have a bank acoount and she doesn't mind. After I tried adding the account it gave me the notice that my account would be restricted, I guess since my name and the name of the bank account don't match and we don't have the same last name. Anyway so okay fine I just need to verify but my question is do I send the proof of address of my mom since I don't get any bills in my name and just send that along with proof of my I.D and SSN? I can send copy of her I.D too but would that even work?????? Another thing that is ANNOYING is that when I was verifying the bank account throught the method where they deposit the 2 small amounts into your bank account, well they ended up depositing one payment of 1cent and one of 15cents then didn't withdraw it until the next day and even though I did have money in my account somehow now I'm overdrafted $35 for 16 cents just for trying to verify the account. And I'm having the hardest time finding answers cause Paypal has the worst non-existant customer service. Please let me know if you've had/solved these problems especially the overdrawn thing and providing acct info?? Thx

for the overdraft fee, call your bank. Mine is bank of america and it took me about three tries to get them to reverse the refund. just say you were unaware that paypal took your fees and hopefully they will be nice.
and maybe make another paypal account with your mom's information and link that to your mom's card?
They ask me to provide SSN and ID and stuff but i never have because i never needed to transfer money from my bank to my paypal, only vice versa.
and you can also ask to speak to a paypal customer service, a lot of people say it's hard but i never had trouble talking to a human lol

Thank you. so. much. for responding
My mom mom is going to call her bank (wells fargo) and see how that goes hopefully they do understand it's just so annoying cause I was only trying to verify my acct. but yeah I'm going to try
So are you saying I should just forget about trying to verify my acct. and just start a new one?
When they asked you to provide your info was your account being limited? Cause mine is and it says in 13 days it will be restricted, I can't provide the info since I dont have proof of address but I can make a new account with all my moms info and proof. So do you think I should just do that? Forget my current acct. and use only one for my mom with her info? If you dont know I will try making a call Thanks!!

Hi, I am Cameron and I have an Account limit problem.
The problem is that my Proof of SSN is not resolving or coming to any conclusion of being accepted or being denied for a good week.
The Status is always still in progress, I just want to know if the process of confirming my social security number should take this long and if it is not should I call paypal.
Also I have given paypal, pictures of the back and front of my social security card and various other clear pictures and scans of documents that have my Social Security number on there.

I currently cannot use my account because paypal is requesting additional personal info.
I have provided proof of ID, and it has gone through, but as I am only 19 and still live at home, I cannot provide a utility bill which is their only shown option for proof of adress. I have provided proof of SSN as well, but it is taking a long time.
I just wish to use my account, and this is taking a very inconveniant amount of time.
