Confused about Donate Button and currencies, please help soon! thanks

When you have a donate button, and it asks which currency you choose, are you supposed to choose the currency for where you live, or for where the people donating live?  And if I set the currency to CAD, will people from other countries still be able to donate? Pllease answer quickly, I would appreciate it. Thanks!

Normally it's your primary currency.    Anyone will still be able to donate regardless but, there may be additional fees for the conversion.
