Buyer sent used pair of shoes back

Buyer opened a claim and stated that he tried to reslove the issue with me but he never contacted me.

He didn't even open the return in eBay he went straight to paypal

got the shoes back today and he sent a used pair of shoes when what I sent his was brand new?

Now I feel like PayPal will side with him and he gets to keep the brand new pair of shoes and the money can anyone help me please.

$300+ loss.

I reported him 3 times on eBay and he didn't even open the return on eBay because he knew he could get over with PayPal  

But as far as uploading the only option is to refund him on PayPal no other options right now. I sent them a message so hopefully someone responds I'm not refunding anything till I get some help.

I am afraid Paypal robot will refund him since tracking shows it has been delivered back to you.

then you can appeal,if it does you any good.
