I sold a lot of fabrics and other sewing items to a person and she paid for items and asked me to hold purchase pending another sale I was planning. By the time she was done there were 7 invoices of items. I shipped all items in 3 boxes and marked all invoice shipped. She recieved items and now claims 1 piece of fabric was shorted. Has demanded a refund of all money paid. She claimed to have initially contacted me on Oct. 27, but I have no record of such a message. Buyer contacted me on Nov. 6, at 7pm, demanding a refund by 10 am the next morning. She has provided no photos of the shorted piece, I believe it does not exist. I feel this is a case of buyers remorse, but she is claiming she will file a dispute through PayPal. I have been told by others that since she has recieved her purchase she won't get anywhere with a dispute, but I decided to ask here and see what answers I get.

How many different payments are involved?

Do you have tracking to show delivery for each payment?

What do you really think will happen if she files a dispute for non-delivery?

Best to resolve issues with buyers privately and without a PayPal dispute.  PayPal disputes can cost your business a lot more.

Consider the options carefully.

You sent her 7 invoices and she made 7 payments and you shipped in 3 boxes?

she said one piece is missing.

she can open a dispute of item not as dsecribed with one payment only, not all 7.

she will win and ask to return all the items less one missing of  that payment on her dime, then she will get the full payment back .

so what is she gaining?

she cant open 7 disputes, just one.

why not negotiate with her, give her a partial refund for one missing item.

pick up the phone and call her, sometimes it could be more effective than filing dispute or emailing back and forth.

if she wants all her money back (meaning all 7 payments),she would need to return them all with tracking, before you can issue her a refund.

if she opens a case, thats what Paypal will ask her to do,she will need to open 7 cases and pay return shipping,no one is going to give her money on return shipping.

is this Ebay?

hush,Ebay will make you pay return shipping so dont let her open on ebay ,she has 30 days for ebay and 180 days with Paypal or credit card issuer
