Suspected Scam

I posted a ring on Craigslist and somebody emailed me indicated they were willing to pay me $200 including shipping and wants me to mail it to Nigeria to his fiance. The ring was only listed for $45 and he wants to pay through Paypal. When I indicated that Paypal wouldn't protect my sale if it was shipped to Nigeria, he asked if I could ship it to Canada. What should I do? I want to be protected.

I'll be honest, I have some serious doubts that this is a legitimate purchaser. First, PayPal doesn't provide service to Nigeria. Second, I'm concerned you'll never receive a PayPal payment - but you might definitely receive emails pretending that you've been paid (aka fake emails). Check out this thread, you'll run across some eerily similar stories.
Stay safe,
Adrian
