Paypal are asking me to return a missing item?

Hello, I made an order a couple weeks ago. Ordered 4 things, only received 3. Tried to sort it directly with the company however their customer service was just so poor so I resorted to Paypal to help me. I claimed I received item but it was incomplete then went into further detail in the description to say I ordered 4 items and only received 3.
I won the case but now i see they've misunderstood my claim, and didn't read the details of the case and are asking me to return the item that I didn't receive.
I have tried e-mailing them saying they've misunderstood and explained my case again, but I just got an automated message.
Any help?

Phone PayPal customer service and talk to an agent.
It's not likely you will be able to resolve it with emails as the text sentences as part of the dispute were not understood; it's not likely you would to explain it sufficiently with more text.

did you file item not received or item not as described?
if item not as described and Paypal ask you to return the item,then return 3 with tracking.
when you open a case of item not as described,there is a choice of more details like m issing quantity,then you can askf or partial refund.
it is too late now since Paypal has decided you return the items,you can still negotiate with the seller to send you the 4th one or issue a partial refund,but he may ask you to close the case first,so do you trust them.
i WOULD just return all 3 and get it over with
