Its a standard response they send you when a seller provides ANY tracking number.
All they are saying is that they have been provided with a tracking number and IF you are happy with it or the item has arrived you can cancel.
Or IF the item has arrived and misdescribed they are giving you the option to change the claim.
IF you don't agree with either of those options then you do nothing and the claim continues and paypal will review the tracking info and if it does not prove delivery of the item to you the you should get your refund.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.

unfortunately there's this:
"PayPal requests more information from the buyer to resolve the issue. If the buyer doesn't respond within the allotted timeframe, we close the case and restore funds to the rightful owner."
image proof:

the seller gave out a bogus number so its obvious that he didn't ship my item and i did not received anything.
i cannot find the option to respond to a bogus tracking number, i think i'm done for this time. how are buyers supposed to respond to bogus/fake tracking numbers if you only give them the option to cancel the claim or change reason of claim?

Yes sometimes they do want info, they don't in this case.
I have had one of those emails > ignored it > got my refund.
Also we have lots of post on here confused about that email and the advice is always the same.
But if you don't believe me thats fine, its your money and you want to know you are not going to lose it so >>>
have you considered contacting Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter?
