Need help... fraud!

Hello,
I received a call yesterday from someone from Paypal regarding an old account. The person stated I had made a transaction for around $80 in December 2012 and I haven't paid for it yet. However, the account was closed 2 years ago due fraud I was having on the account. I had open a new payal around the mid of December of 2012. If I was to make a purchase using paypal I would have used my new account obviously because I do not know my password for the old and I was under the impression this was done and off the records.

When I called in to Paypal, it went no where because they couldn't verify who I was. They tried those 3 question based off the information I had provided on the account and the questions were not related to me at all. Which to me, means the information used to open the account was fraud!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When that didn't work, the paypal representative wanted my last 4 digits of my visa card. The problem with that is I don't keep old records.. the account was opened in 2006 and I only keep 5 years of old information.

I would like someone to call me that can do something about this matter. I need to know what was purchased and when it was purchased to make sure this isn't fraud! I don't want this on my record and be reported to collection as I was told was going to happen.

Thank you in advance!
