Dispute opened by Paypal

Hi,

A while back in december I purchase games from Steam Sales and paid by paypal. However my last transaction worth $13 somewhat picked by paypal for transaction review and they have opened their own dispute towards Steam. "This payment has been selected for review and we have opened an investigation." . Paypal have sent email to Steam and Steam have quickly responded to them too. It's been a week already yet the dispute status opened by paypal still "Status :Being Reviewed By PayPal". I've already email them 4 days ago and they said they will review it and told me wait and keep checking on my account for updates.

Due to this Steam have locked my account temporarily until Paypal completes their own dispute. I am so frustrated as I can't buy anything on steam holiday sale due to this.

How long does take this dispute goes? It's my first time that paypal openning it's own dispute without my concent so makes me wonder why. Do they do this randomly on purpose? My frustration is getting worst waiting...

Anyone have same experience like this?

My friend had that once. After that, steam won't take your PayPal anymore and force you to use something else. At least that's what happened to my friend.

I'd really hope it wont go through like that after this dispute is settled. I really so frustrated that even up to this very moment Paypal still have no updates and status remains under paypal review despite the fact Steam have already replied immediately last Dec 27th...

I've already email them twice but no reply at all....  😞 I hope this will not last for a month as I wanted this close asap coz my steam account is affect by it...

Have you tried calling PayPal? Email usually never yields results.

The exact same thing happend to me exept the dispute got closed and now my money is in limbo and i cant buy steam games anymore 😞 does anyone know what to do? ive emailed both parties

As for me I've already notified Steam about it. They said that as soon dispute is closed by paypal and released the funds back to steam then my account will automatically unlock. As for paypal, there's no word at all.... 😞
