Buyer protection question

Hi, I have purchased the item from the facebook page using paypal few days ago and unfortunately, I believe it has high chance of being a scam. I have read many cases that are similar to mine and some said you will and some said you won't get your money back. I have opened a dispute and will escalate to claim soon. The buyer I bought it from is a verified user but Not from U.S. He has not responded for 4~5 days since the last time we talked. He has lagged the shipment and now I can't contact him anymore. So, what im curious is that I'm pretty sure I will most likely going to win the claim, but will I still get a full refund even if he doesn't have any money on his account?

No that is still one transaction even if paypal took some from your paypal balance and the rest from your bank account.

What they mean is if you paid a deposit and then later paid another installment.

So you should be fine there.

Depends.

If paypal find in your favour and you met the criteria of buyer protection then if the seller has removed the funds from his paypal account then paypal will refund you themselves under their buyer protection scheme.

But you should read up on buyer protection first to make sure you met the criteria the main ones are >>>

1. Its a physical tangible item that is to be posted to you and not a digital/ virtual item.

2. You sent the payment and paid either from an invoce OR send payment GOODS. If you sent a gift / family payment then you won't be covered.

I have already answered that and said you need to meet ALL the requirements of buyer protection and then you are covered, and I pointed out the 2 main ones.

Up to you to check anything else but if the item has not been despatched and no response from the seller file for item not received either via your my ebay if it was ebay or via the resolution tab in your paypal account if it was not an ebay transaction.

So i have went over the requirements and it said pay the full amount of item with one payment. And i already had money on my paypal account and rest of the money i needed was transferred from the bank account. Does that count as one or two? I really appreciate your help

I have a similar issue - i was invoiced for an item that cost £325 - they wrote what the item was and invoiced me but I have emailed them 4 times since regarding postage etc and not heard back. I am now really worried and losing sleep, im fairly sure I have been scammed but i cannot afford to lose that money and I have heard some awful stories about people not getting their money back. It was for a dress, so i tangible item. please help.
