I purchased an $299 item in June w/6 mos no interest. Then a $80 purchase in September. So far I have paid/payments of $250. This first purchase says I still owe $145 on it and my six months is almost up. Why is the $80 purchase lumped in with the first purchase? I basically have to pay my whole balance off this dec. to avoid $20 interest fee on the first purchase but I only owe $50 on the first purchase.

No way to know the answer without seeing the details of your most recent PayPal Credit statatement--that's the mailed paper statement or downloaed PDF statement.
For information on how payments are appliced click on Legal at the bottom of the page and then PayPal Credit Terms. Scroll down to section 10 for payment information.
Pay VERY close attention to how the payment is applied as you could lose your 6-month free interest promotion if you don't pay it on time.
