PayPal Credit Issue

I made a PayPal account today and signed up for a PayPal Credit line today. I was approved. I am trying to send a small payment to another PayPal account and it keeps telling me "Your payment method isn’t working. Do you want to try again with another card or bank?".

Any idea why? I already rec'd email confirmation stating that I now have access to my credit line but...it appears I dont really?

Just because you have a specific PayPal Credit limit doesn't mean it is immediately available for all purchases and payemnts.  PayPal evaluates each attempt to use the credit against PayPal security and risk models.

 

Are you bank account and credit card accounts correctly linked to your PayPal account?

 

If you need specific details you would need to phone PayPal customer service and and talk to a Credit specialist.

My bank account has not been confirmed yet since I just created the PayPal account today - the deposits to my account havent been made yet so I cannot confirm. Otherwise, it is linked to both a bank account and credit card.

I will try to call again - I tried once and was left on hold for 20+ minutes. I am at work so I cant wait all day! I thought I would check here. Thanks.

Both your bank and credit card accounts have to complete the verification process in order to start using any of the PayPal services/features.  Be careful not to go to town so soon or move money too fast with your new account, PayPal monitors activity for suspicious use patterns and can trigger account limitations.
