Declined PayPal Credit Purchase but still shows pending?

So I had attempted to extend my buying power by making a Best Buy purchase over my limit figuring if it didn't go through I would just use my debit card. It was declined and said it was because they couldn't obtain authorization from PayPal. I checked my PayPal account and it shows as pending on account activity so I don't want to repurchase with my debit card until I find out what's going on. Is this something that will simply disappear? Like when an authorization hold is placed and then falls off? Best Buy has no record of it so they can't do anything on their end. Help, please and thanks 🙂

Yes, it will fall off if not completed. You can also call Paypal and ask them to remove the hold (I did this once when a vendors large charge for some reason authorized multiple times and tied up all the funds in my account).

This happened to me. Still on there after 2 weeks. Called target, they could not help.I cancelled my order but the pending is still there. I can't seem to cancel it anywhere. I just started with Paypal and it has been nothing but aggravation. Sorry I couldn't help.
