To whom it may concern;
I am a 75 yr old senior and have been a memebr of Pay Pal for almost 2o years I ma surprised to be apart of a dispute of this kind.
Perhaps the problem stems from a misunderstanding as to the nature of the transaction. I will describe it as well as possible.
In September of this year while visiting my son in Oklahoma I became to ill to drive home to Las Vegas Nv I left my car with my son and instructed him to sell it as i was going to get a newer car anyway.
He found a person who was interested in buying my car and as i was by this time home again in Nevada I told him that the best way to have the person pay me for the car would be a moiney transfer thruough Pay Pal.Tis would help speed up the results and the person could have the car right away.
The person then sent me a deposit on the car of 600.00 to hold the car until he could get the rest of his money He then sent me two payments of 900.00 each ( why i don't know) anyway when i received the money in my Pay Pal account I transferred it to my bank.
Then i sent the title to my car overnight express to my son. He then waited for me to advise him that all money was cleared and gave the title to that person.
Now nearly a month later the funds that the person sent to my Pay Pal for the car are being charged back to my account as he was saying it was unauthorized
I have no recourse other than to close my Pay Pal account of 20 yrs and instruct the bank to no loner accept transactions from Pay Pal
The Bank manager also advised me to close my accounts and open new ones to be sure All of this i have done except the Pay Pal account which i can't seem to do at th8is point
Now i find myself as the victim as my car is gone and you are trying to take the mony back and i am losing my Pay Pal account of 20 yrs because someones says they did not do the transfers.
I guess a loyal customer is no longer valuble to Pay Pal

Its always best to read up on seller protection before you start selling so you can see what coverage you have and risk assess your transactions.
An unauthorised dispute is saying that the account holders paypal account was hacked and used without their consent by another person (your buyer).
If that is found to be true by paypal (and you have not said if the decision has been made yet), then of course the account holder is reimbursed.
HOWEVER you would equally be reimbursed if you met ALL the requirements of seller protection.
Unfortunately for you paypal seller protection DOES NOT cover items 'personally collected or delivered' and not 'shipped'.
Sorry but surely after 20 years you could have taken the time to read the small sections on buyer and seller protection before you bought and sold things?
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.
