Whenever I try buying something using PayPal, this message shows up. I got a PayPal so I could spend the money in my bank account online, and all of a sudden it stopped working a few weeks ago. What's the pont of having PayPal if I can't even use it? Please help.

If you don't have a credit card linked as backup payment, then add one.

Logical next step would be to apply for a credit card.

Hi PieMqn,

I understand that you are having a problem making these transactions. That can be annoying. DPCreations has the right idea concerning adding a back up funding source. This can mitigate perceived risks when making payments on PayPal.

There are multiple factors which can cause a payment to not complete. If you only have a bank account on file, PayPal may decide to not send the money on your behalf and that's when an eCheck would be the only way funds would be sent. The payment may be denied by the merchant if they do not accept eChecks, as it would be necessary for them to wait for this payment to clear.

Other factors that can lead to a transaction not completing would be can include the detection of any unusual or suspicious activity. We decline some payments to help protect you from any possible fraudulent activity. If you've verified all your transaction activity and don't see anything suspicious, you can try to complete the payment again.

You would also want to confirm any funding sources you've added. This can be done by clicking on the payment method within your "wallet" or "money" section.

I hope this sheds some insight as to why the payment is not completing.
