I have been in resolution with a company, who has said that they have sent and refund request. How do I know this is true?..

How long until I actually SEE a refund?.. AND MORE IMPORTANTLY.. I had to change my card #' that was used, and tag another account number to paypal..  how Do I know if THAT will cause problems?

They also have requested that I close the resolution, but if I do... and don't actually ever GET my refund.. what recourse do I have then??

DO NOT close the dispute or you won't get your refund.  And refunds issued though the original transaction page go back to the funding source you used unless the refund was sent as a payment separately via Send & Request page which will go instantly to your balance.

If you are still in the dispute phase, the seller can indeed refund you through the dispute.  If they keep telling you to close the dispute in order for them to refund, don't.  Escalate the dispute to a claim ASAP (you have 20 days from date of opening of dispute to escalate to a claim) and PayPal will take over and review the case to determine whether you are eligible for a refund or not.

Since you removed or changed the card number...I dunno, the refund might get trapped in the nethers or it may be returned to your balance, or it will get returned to the card somehow.  Why did you have to change the card?  You got a replacement card?
