PayPal Community

I had been scammed by "microsoft locking out my computer for suspiscious activity" (which I now know is "Ransomware scam") by a company that claims they are associates of Microsoft. Gave them way too much $$ to "clean up and unlock" my ISP address?? When I spoke to a professional friend who does real computer work. He advised me never to let someone I don't know  remotely long distantly "fix" anything and to take my computer to someone local to really have it "cleaned" .   I filed a resolution with PP and the company supposedly agrees to refund my $$ but have seen nothing yet. I had to change card numbers at my bank in order for this company not go get any further $$. I was told to by professional computer people to do so. Question is.. IF the $$ is truly refunded.. will PP deposit it to my new card number? Or try to get it to the old?? OR will they just put in into my PP acount balance??   Thanks for any help! I have been in resolution with a company, who has said that they have sent and refund request. How do I know this is true?.. How long until I actually SEE a refund?.. AND MORE IMPORTANTLY.. I had to change my card #' that was used, and tag another account number to paypal..  how Do I know if THAT will cause problems?   They also have requested that I close the resolution, but if I do... and don't actually ever GET my refund.. what recourse do I have then?? ...
