I just ordered the $79 card reader and decided to put the ap on my phone before it got here, glad I did. It asked crazy questions and I know I answered them all correctly then it denied me service. WTH!! Now I have the expensive card reader coming and can't use it? Anyway to get the ap to work?

just talked to them on the phone they say my account type (which is a business account i've been using for 10 years with no issues) is not eligible for paypal here. That makes zero sense, why offer it then Sounds like a lie/excuse. Be aware.

No one here knows why you are denied,you should ask Paypal.

I called them, they said it was my account type. I have a business account that has had no issues for 10 years. Others should be aware, they don't ask anything when you order the reader and don't assume you can use it if you have a business account.

Generally you can't get the reader until you get the PPH account documents; that's the way I thought it worked.

Where is you business account located?

Are you the actual owner of the account?

What is your business activity?

Why not call and make sure you talk to a PayPal Here specialist.

it's a US paypal business account, they said my account type is the problem. I asked what I can do to get the correct account type. They said "nothing, t's the account type, you can't change it" exact words. I use it mostly to take payments via etsy and sometimes to invoice customers. I have a paypal business debit for it. They're sending a return box for the card reader.

It must be correct since they  allowing you to return the reader.

I don't think the debit card would be the issue or the agent would have told you so.

Is your business address (no PO box) listed as a correct U. S. address on your accunt settings?

Does your PayPal business use SSN or EIN?

I've had a business account for years with our dba Business name listed on PayPal.  We are an itinerant business and started with th swiper before getting the bluetooth reader.

I don't remember when I set up my account if there was any place to select a business type.

Is your resididential address in U. S.

Do you have a SS# added to your account?

 You haven't stated that you are in U. S. with a SS#.

There are many foreign business which attempt to set up or actually do circumvent some rules in order get the business account registered as U. S. while the account owner is not U. S.   So just want to get the details.

If you get more information, I would be curious to know.

My suggestion wold still be to phone again and talk to different PPH specialist.
