So I don't use paypal a lot and I only had to recently when it came to purchasing certain things for my study abroad trip. So I need to make a payment to PayPal and tie off my credit balance. In the past I remember simply paying the amount with my attached credit card, but for some reason when I go to payment, it is not listed as a payment option. How can I pay with my credit card because I DO NOT want to attach my bank account information and also CAN NOT because I don't have the required informatio with me while I'm abroad.
Thank you

I haave a paypal payment due. My crdit card is supposed to be linked to my account. But the payment choices are 1) link to my bank, which I do not want to do or 2) send a check. What happened to my credit card option?

Basically my problem is that I have an attached credit card to my account. It's attached and I have used it before. However, when I go to "Make A Payment" it does not allow me to list my credit card as an option. All it says to do is link my bank account (which I don't plan to do). Based off what you are saying, I should be able to directly use my credit card to pay; however, for some reason it isn't giving me the option. I could simply be missing the correct area to type it into or something else bigger is at play.

Yes. Are you making a purchase or sending money?
To use your credit card, you must add and confirm your credit card at the Wallet page.
When you checkout at a online retailer that accepts PayPal, click the PayPal button, then log into your PayPal account, select your added credit card as payment method and complete payment.
If sending money, Log on to your PayPal account. Click, Send & Request at the top or Money, if you have a business account. Select whether the payment is for goods and services or friends and family payment. Fill in the fields and complete payment. Note, for friends and family payments there is a PayPal fee (2.9%+30 cents), for sending money with credit card. You may also be charged a cash advance fee by your card issuer.
Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂

The process to make a payment is not clear and very missleading. I am starting to believe it is designed intentionally to force folks to link a bank account. It is NOT acceptable. I will not link a bank account. I have had active cards attached and the payment, now overdue, did not go through the CC.
