Asked for credit card enenthough bank account has been confirmed

PayPal is asking me to add a credit card even though I have a confirmed bank account and have processed a payment with this same confirmed bank account. What is the point of confirming a bank account or having PayPal then? I don't want to add a cc, how do I fix this issue.

They like you to have a back up card linked to reduce risk to them.
