Issues while sending money to Bosnia and Herzegovina

My Dear PayPal Community,

I want to send money to my brother, who lives in Bosnia and Herzegovina, but I am not able to complitethe transaction. Do you know if I can even send money to Bosnia and Herzegovina via PayPal and if so, how? What am I doing wrong? 

My brother opened PayPal account, entered his bank card and sent me his email. Now, when I tried to complete the transaction, I am getting this message:

"We can’t send your payment right now. If you keep running into this issue, please contact <a href="/help" target="_blank">PayPal</a>.

If you continue to encounter problems, please contact customer service."

do you have credit card linked to your Paypal account?

does your brother accept US dollars/

Tried sending money to my brother and got the same message. He lives in Bosnia. Both paypal accounts are verified and work fine.

Could it be that it's not possible to send money in other currency, tried euro and USD there is no BAM?

Hi @ermin1, I'm having the same issue at the moment and still waiting to hear back from PayPal. I have money on my account and when trying to transfer (I am paying for a good/service in my case) I also receive the same error message. I tried sending in EUR. Hopefully, they have an answer and if yes, I'll let you know in case there is a solution. Let me know in the meantime if you find a resolution please!

@sarahcvirkler It's strange that I'm able to receive money from Bosnia but can't send back to my brothers pp account?

I've been reading, and people say if you want the issue to be fixed sooner you will have to call them.

Please let me know if you find a solution.

@ermin1 that does sound very strange, I'd expect if one can take place so can the other (to me, it's only logical if you can't send/receive at all or can do both). Thanks for the tip, I'll give them a call if the issue continues but I've heard back from the company that I'm paying that normally it is an issue on their side at their bank, if it is then normally it's resolved for me? Anyway, I'll keep you updated once I get a solution to this!

Unfortunately, while I was able to make the transaction this was only because the company I was going to pay did something. Sorry, no solution I'm able to share to help you out...I hope you figured something else out in the meantime...

Called the bank and they said you can't receive money on Master-card, only VISA cards. The bank he uses only offer Master-card so he will have to switch banks.
