Got scammed but blocked the transaction, what next?

i got scammed along other uses on a forum, seller sent me a custom link to pay, and it was friends and family, after the seller got banned from the forum, i called my bank to block the transaction, open a case but was in the favor of the scammer, now i end up with a negative balance on my paypal. After a long discussion with customer service, the only solution is to fund my account and the scammer will get away with his money. any solutions ? i guess i'll just leave my account as is. i refuse to loose my money to a scammer and paypal letting people get away with this.

you sent money via friend and family,so you get no buyer protetion,it is like giving a cash gift to someone/

Paypal could turn your account to collection agency and affect your credit rating.

A, “gift” or “personal” payments are intended as transfer of funds from family or friends to one another. For this reason, there is no processing fee when payment is made with bank or PayPal balance.

On the other hand, as it is a “personal” payment, there is also no Buyer protection as no goods or services should have been exchanged.

If he was not a close mate or family member you should never use that option as it enables the seller to evade his paypal fees and negates your buyer protection at the same time.

Scam sellers often ask for payment that way as they know this.
