Don't have family or friends option while sending payment

Hi there,

Today I was buying something for my cousin from a guy in skype and the guy asked for sending money as family or friend for avoiding fees but I don't have that option in my send money tab and now I should send more money considering PayPal's fee.

Depends what country you are in.

If you send via friends / family you are enabling the seller to evade their paypal fees AND losing any buyer protection that you may have had.

You should never use friends and family payments for purchases!

Ask the seller to send you a PayPal invoice which describes the item you're purchasing.

I am planning a family reunion and am would like to give everyone the option of paying me via paypal.  I have a personal account.  Not selling anything.  Do they need to have a paypal account to pay me?  Will they have the option of paying me vs. paying for a product?  I don't want to incur fees...

So how do you send to family or friends with that new interface ?

I have done it many times before, the option is just not available anymore.

Using paypal balance, Greece to Greece, small amount to a friend that bought something for me.
