Hello..

Days ago, I bougth some things on eBay from US sellers, but when I saw my statement bank, I noticed they charged me a fee for the conversion of Brazilian Real to US Dollar...

I do not know why is happening that, when in my all other purchases in the past I never had been any problem of that tipe.

I do not know why eBay is charging in Brazilian Real instead in US Dollar...

I am a US Buyer, and I buy from US seller...

Thank you !!!

Hello...

Finally after one call to eBay customer service, and three calls to paypal customer service, my problem of conversion from US dollar to brazilian real was fixed, now when I want to buy a thing through paypal my transaction appears in dollars, and my bank charge in dollars, there is no fees or another rare charged...

But now, I have to fight with paypal to they refund me the fees and other charges that my bank made...

Thanks everybody for the help...

P.D. The issue was with the system of paypal... A BIG ISSUE !!!

DOES IT COME UP TO 2 1/2%,that will be Paypal conversion fee.

If you are in Brazil and your local currency is in real and you are buying from US seller who accepts US dollars, then paypal converts your real to US $.

where did you open your Paypal account, wha country did you use?

are you in USA now?

and where is your bank?

best is to review your Paypal account for buying and selling

I opened my paypal account in the US.

I am in the US.

My account Bank was opened in the US, with a US Bank.

My actual currency is the US Dollar in my paypal account settings and I used the US as my country when I paid.

did you pay with bank fund or credit card?

why do you keep saying  converting from real to us dollar?

you are the buyer, you pay with US dollar,so it should be from us dollar to real, not the other way round?

I called yesterday and spent 30 minutes over the phone for $1.14 in difference. Not a large amount but it is the principle. I was assured that it was corrected going forward. Guess what? It's still doing it today. With the advent of virtual credit card numbers once I get all my money credited I will be closing out my account for buying purposes. This is major league fraud, I just happened to notice that the amounts were different. How many thousands/millions will this happen to? Great way to be padding the bottom line. This is against all banking and consumer laws.

--------------

do you mean from us dollars into real? since you are the buyer and paying with US dollars?

Could your seller from Brazil?is there an Ebay Brazil and your seller opts to make his listing visible on Ebay USA?
