I know that paypal has their own fees but does the credit card register the sending of money as a cash advance or a transaction?

If you already made the transfer you should be able to see the details on your credit card online account.

I have the same question. Was going to send money to family member using a credit card. I am not sure if the bank charges a cash advance fee?

Hi everyone!
Great question! In our experience, personal payments or Friends and Family payments are sent and viewed by most banks just like a regular Goods and Services transaction.
It's up to the bank on whether or not they choose to see it as a cash advance. I hope that helps a little!
