Purchase whilst pending

This may seem like a stupid question, let's say I have £200 in my bank account and send £100 to Paypal. Whilst the money is pending to paypal what would happen if I buy something over £100 with my bank account?

Could be any of these.

1. You bank would let if go through but charge you an overdrawn fee?

2. Your paypal account would be put into negative until you paid the rest.

3. The payment would be declined from your bank.

4. The transaction would fail.

@Bod237

it depends which transaction reaches the bank first.

If you are in USA,Paypal uses the slowest form of ACH 3-4 days,but if you make  a purchase using your bank account,it could be faster,try it and find out.

If you don't have enough to cover the transaction from PayPal when paypal attempts to withdraw the money, and your bank declines it, it can become a mess. Paypal will attempt to recover the money a second time a few days later, then go to your debit/credit card on your account, and then your account balance on paypal will go negative and they will do a final recovery for the negative balance from your bank. That means, if your bank declines all, you could potentionally have 4 NSF fees from it : PER TRANSACTION.
