Known Issue: Payments not appearing on sender or receiver's account

Update:  Engineers are reporting the issue with transaction delays was fixed late last night (around 2am ET).  Typically a transaction may take a few minutes to appear in the account activity and we are back to that normal behavior.  Thanks for your patience during this issue.

Hi everyone,

Our engineers are aware of an issue right now where payments are not immediately appearing in the account activity for both senders and recipients.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and our engineers are working to fix this as soon as possible.

This issue appears to be causing a delay in when the payments appear.  The transaction is initiated, it's just not appearing on the website for up to 4-5 hours in some cases (the time appears to be random).

I will update this post when we have more information and to let everyone know when the fix has been implemented.

Yeah, i just bought something on ebay for $150 and it shows as paid and the money has been taken out of my account, but there is no receipt or record of the transaction from paypal. I hope the seller doesn't cancel my order because of this. i guess the part that takes out your money is working just fine but the part that actually records it and sends it over to the other person isn't.

just an update, i received my money just now. it's 3 hours after it was sent to me.

Found something interesting, it seems that all the reports are happening in certain areas, mostly northeast US, California, other random US spots, and parts of Europe. Personally, I'm in Maryland.

I have been on hold for almost an hour to try to find out what happened to the money I sent to a family member earlier today.

Same here, I sent money and reciver did not get the money, Tried again and I the money was taken out of my account but nothing happend!

not even an e-mail sent to me.

Not shown in activity either.. 

So what I am down/lost money?

Sent an email to Paypal over an hour ago re: the missing payment and received a general response advising me to check out the help topics...they did not even acknowledge there was an issue.  I responded back asking for a resolution timeframe but haven't heard anything yet.
