Known Issue: Payments not appearing on sender or receiver's account

Update: Engineers are reporting the issue with transaction delays was fixed late last night (around 2am ET). Typically a transaction may take a few minutes to appear in the account activity and we are back to that normal behavior. Thanks for your patience during this issue.
Hi everyone,
Our engineers are aware of an issue right now where payments are not immediately appearing in the account activity for both senders and recipients. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and our engineers are working to fix this as soon as possible.
This issue appears to be causing a delay in when the payments appear. The transaction is initiated, it's just not appearing on the website for up to 4-5 hours in some cases (the time appears to be random).
I will update this post when we have more information and to let everyone know when the fix has been implemented.

My friend said that in his activity/transaction history it has no record of the transaction but his bank definitely shows it as a pending payment. The transaction was for $100 USD (have screenshot). Do the PayPal support staff read these threads? How would I go about contacting them? I'd prefer not to have to wait on hold for 4 hours on their call centers.

Why would you need to contact them??
Its a KNOWN issue that they are working on.
Posting here keep saying its not fixed yet is not going to make it get fixed anymore quickly.
Everyone is in the same boat and phoning them is not going to make any difference to be honest.

Hi I have a similar issue. I reconcile my Paypal account like a bank account. When I go to print out the report for the dates of September, the activity with balance report is missing two items, so it doesn't add up. These are not recent items, but from earlier in the month. I have had this occur in the past also, since the new reports were implemented. I have used two different computers with the same results. I can find it in the Activity screen, but not the Activity with Balance screen. Thanks!

I just started seeing this problem today, when I try to send funds to someone else the app kicks me out. The app is still open but the focus is to the home screen not the app. When I retry it again returns me to the home screen. Please advise.
BTW...I am using IOS 9.0.2 and PayPal 5.12.1 (auto updated earlier today).

This issue does not appear to be fixed yet. I sent payment yesterday on Oct 6 around 7 pm. Almost 16 hours later the transaction has not posted in my summery. And the payment I sent it to still has not received it. Is this issue being looked at?

My auctions (a lot of them anyway) finished recently and all my payments have come through ok.
Are you sure its the same issue?

Same issue. I also had issues on Oct 5 where 2 people sent me funds and the funds did not appear on my end or their end until 5-8 hours later. No record in the summery of payment sent or received until much later.
