I had a debit show up on my checking account, I did not recognize it so I tried to contact PAYPAL on three different occassions asking about the debit, they did not respond, so I contacted my bank. My bank disputed the charge on PAYPAL, still no information as to who the debit was made by. And now, when I make a purchase on EBAY, the only option I have for paying with PAYPAL is my Credit Card, I have no option to switch to my bank account. I have tried to contact PAYPAL on 4 different occassions and they have never responded. Any suggestions.

If you made a dispute for a payment funded from your bank account then they would remove your bank account from future use until or unless its sorted.
Don't forget that payments funded from your bank account often come out a few days after you have paid so it may not show on the same date in your paypal account OR if you paid as a guest buyer ie to a sellers paypal account but not logging in to your paypal account / and using a card then it wouldn't show on your paypal history.

Thank you for explaining why I no longer have use of my checking account. I still would like to know how do you get PAYPAL to respond to emails. When this debit showed up on my checking account, I went to my PAYPAL transactions and there was nothing to support the debit. So I did a dispute with PAYPAL and explained the issue, NO response. So i sent them an email using the contact page and once again asked what the debit was for NO response. I tried a few more time, and because PAYPAL did not respond, I had no choice but to dispute the debit with my bank. I have since sent PAYPAL three emails asking them why I do not have the option to use my bank account for payments and once again they are not responding. I just don't understand why customer service is this bad.

I'm trying to figure out the chronology.
You found an strange transcation with your bank and disputed the PayPal charge with your bank.
The opened a dispute on PayPal to attack the issue from the other end.
Neither party has responded to your disputes.
I suspect filing disputes from both ends would create issues of it's own.
You sent emails to PayPal through multiple options rather than follow a single route.
Suggestion: call PayPal customer service and talk to an agent.

Thank you for your response. The dispute has been settled, that is not the issue. As a business owner I prefer to do my correspondence in writing, so I have a complete and accurate record. This is the reason why I followed the dispute transactions per PAYPALs instructions. When that failed, I tried a different route with PAYPAL, when that failed I had to go to my bank. My question still remains how do you get PAYPAL to respond to EMAILS? The contact page says you can contact them via email, but they do not answer emails. Calling them is not an option, since I do not have time to sit on hold waiting for them to answer. If PAYPAL is going to offer 'Contact Us via EMAIL' then they should respond to those emails, like any other business does.

Emailing is often a waste of time, your best bet is to >>>>>
Click on the words "Contact" at the bottom of your paypal account summary page and use the phone option (if there is one in the country you are in) > click on the "call us" option on the left (fees "may" apply so check the cost with your phone tariff first, as you sometimes have to wait a while to connect).
When you get through don't select any options just hang on till you get transfered to an agent or say the word "agent".
OR have you considered contacting Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter?
You can send them a personal message from their facebook or twitter pages.
It's: https://www.facebook.com/PayPal and @AskPayPal for Twitter.
