Error with Android App

Been using the check deposit system for about three months and been very happy with it.

Recently did a update and keep getting the error:

Unable to update license acceptance  Unknown error (-10005)

 

Any help would be appreciated.

Yup, still not fixed. I uninstalled and reinstalled on both my Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 and Samsung Galaxy Nexus with no luck. I hope you fix it soon. It's one of the main reasons I still use PayPal.

STILL BROKE Man Frustrated !!! I own (2) IPhone 4S phones and (1) Motorola Droid 2 and I just uninstalled and reinstalled the apps on all 3 devices at 5:20 p.m. CST, I attempted the check deposit on my Droid 2 first and immediately got:

ERROR

Unable to update license acceptance

Unknown error (-10005)

 

I then tried check deposit on my IPhone 4S phones. The IPhones let me get as far as taking pictures of the checks and putting in a dollar amount, but when I submit and confirm the dollar total, I got:

 

Error

An error occurred with adding a

check, Please try again later.

 

I'm a small business, and I loved the convenience of depositing checks with PayPal, but if I no longer have the option through any mobile device, I'll have to sign up with another vendor....

Sorry PayPal. I've been waiting 5 days for this problem to get fixed. In the electronic and business age, that's just too long...

 

If this is a system wide problem for all of PayPal, I'm very suprised that this hasn't leaked to the business press.....

It is *so* frustrating - does anyone know ANYthing at all yet?  I've got checks I've been waiting to deposit, and they're either goign to wait till it gets fixed, or till I get home in two months to my bank. 😞

Paypal is no longer offering check deposit services (via smartphone). I suggest signing up with an alternate service. Shame on Paypal for extending, then withdrawing this service. Double shame for trying to make it look like an app error causing so many of us to waste our time trying to fix it.

This has got to be one of the worst examples of corporate customer service.  Just say the service is down.  Let people subscribe to a list that you'll notify as soon as it's back up.  

In the mean time I am depositing money NOT to PayPal.

BACK!!! I was able to add a check this morning. Hopefully this is here to stay.  Thank you everyone for your input and updates.  It's been a frustrating time. This is the real reason for having the mobile app.
