IPaypal unknowingly added a 'conversion fee' on a product I bougjt which resulted in a 65 cent deficit in my paypal acct. Then, with out my knowledge they automatically tried to take the funds out of the associated bank acct. I had to take time off work to put the funds in and when I did, I noticed that $48 was taken from my acct. The total was supposed to be $40.79. The status of my purchace remained 'paid' for days. The merchant and I were just waiting for paypal to finalize the payment. Then, 5 days later the paid status changed to cancelled. I have spoken to several paypal agents over the week who explain what should have been brought to my attention before the purchace. It has been the cause of $48 nsf, no product, spent phone time, time to go to the bank during working hours, frustration....etc. They added an unknown fee that raised the final purchace amount beyond my balance by 65 cents. Then they caused a $48 nsf charge because they tried, without my knowledge to take the money from an accout that I know didn't have the funds. I was put on hold and then hung up on and then put on hold after asking to speak to a supervisor who never took the call. Does anybody have any suggestions regarding how to deal with paypal in similar situations? I dhould get vompensation but instead I'm getting disrespected from agents of a very flawed system that has costed me dearly. Thanks!

Why is it an unknown fee? Of course you have to pay currency conversion charges and what you pay is clearly listed in your own currency before you click submit to play.

It was an unknown fee. I use a mobile app and another paypal agent said earlier that this fee wouldn't have appeared. I saw on ebay a toatal of $39 and change and had $40.15. I was asked then to confirm at $39 and change and I did. Then after,I got a reciept for $40.79. Also, paypal automatically tried taking the money out of my bank acct which resulted in a $48 nsf charge. Paypal supplied me with a letter with no instructions to take it to the bank myself, but due to the bad communications I've experienced over the past week, knew to ask the bank about. They said that this was not their busi ess and the letter means nothing to them. Who told them to go into my acct. Paypal owes me compensation.

See what I mean. A sarcastic answer saying 'OF COURSE YOU HAVE TO PAY A FEE' Then when I responded I get no answer. Before you can say OF COURSE you should make it clear beforehand instead of afterwards. Paypal went outside conventional standards and therefore should make it clear. OF COURSE you should make it clear. Garbage!

So sorry I had to log off and go get the families meal ready.

OF COURSE I should have stayed glued to my laptop just in case you replied, after all I had nothing else to do had I??

And I do not have to make anything clear as I do not work for paypal or have anything to do with paypal, this is just an advice forum.

And yes I would have responded with more info today, but you know what, I just can't be bothered to respond to rude people.

Bye.

Thank you for your 2:13 am rant, Donald Trump. I don't expect any different from a volunteer advisor for paypal. If you find me rude, thank your company. I think that others would find that for the way paypal has rudely, disrespectfully, and. Irresponsibly treated the customer, I'm doing pretty good. That invludes your defensive imput. IMy search is showing that my complaint are similar to many others. So please, this process is set up to advise people, not for biased people to criticise the consumer, so please step aside and let the adults speak.

Its not 2:13 here, its morning    Smiley Very Happy

Not sure what Trump has to do with anything, certainly nothing to do with me.

I DO NOT WORK OR HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH PAYPAL.

So given that little bit of information how can it be ''my company?''

If you want the adults to speak then I think it would be a good idea if you learnt to spell first.   Smiley Wink

OMG! Please forgive my spelling. It's a mobile unit and like lots of people can attest to, it's easy to hit the wrong button. It happens all the time and most people work through it without making it a big deal. Can we not be so trivial please. You haven't given any advice so far. Why are you an advisor? Who asked you to criticise my concerns? I am asking for advice, not criticism. I didn't do this to fight with anyone. I wanted help from the public. You're helping to prove my points. Even the paypal forum is dissapointing. Please do not respond if you do not have any legitimate advice pertaining the the original problem. Thank you.

Click on FEES bottom of every paypal page and educate yourself.

Also try spell-checker, easy to do online.

You obviously didn't read the complaint. i stated that the mobile app did not show this fee until paypal sent me the reciept. Big organizations are notorious for fine print rules that they know the consumer will not read. I'll bet you don't know all the ins and outs of your telecommunications provider's contract. But you would not like to hear 'Educate yourself' when they trap you with something. It's pretty disrespectful. Spell check is trivial like most will tell you. If spelling is more of a concern to you than assisting then that's entirely your problem. You don't still have any legitimate advice pertaing to the original complaint and never had. How can you call yourself an advisor?
