Quicken won't update PayPal

I keep getting "Your financial institution's website has a new page or pop-up window that needs your response."

I don't see anywhere on my PayPal account page that takes care of the issue.

Any thoughts?

It worked last week. I think it via Web Connect. It is NOT working today.

I also tried to download a QFX file. That doesn't appear to be an option.

Got an error message from Quicken after two hours of fixing connection.
"Circuit is broken for 7298 due to General error. New Bypass MFA post Found"

No help

I cannot update, but my error message is:

PayPal Account Error

Quicken cannot update these accounts because of an error on the Quicken server.

I have been getting the same error message for the past 4 hours.

I've gotten that message for a few days. I did chat with Quicken support. I went through a procedure to reset PayPal "branding" settings. It worked. The next day the connections failed again. I went through the reset procedure three times and it never worked again. The "reset" procedure I got from Quicken is not the simple "reset Account," but a set of steps to force a reload of PayPal "Financial Insitution Branding and Profile."

I did the same with Quicken support team member. It did not work. Could not not Reset PayPal. They asked me Deactivate account. We were able to deactivate Paypal after several attempt. BUT... I'm not able to set the account now. I lost already about four hours with customer support - no positive results.

I also contacted PayPal. They said, they do not provide tech support at all, never herd of Quicken, and not interested at the subject.Said, it's Quiecken problems.

Now,  I'm waiting. Hope smbd fix the error.

I was getting the same error, for several days.  This happens every few weeks.  You would think that PayPal would have learned how to fix this issue within hours or minutes rather than within days or weeks, considering it's an old problem.  I just did an an update individually (rather than 1 step update) and it resolved the issue, although I tried the same on Friday and it did not resolve the issue.  Although it claims it's because of the Quicken Server I am 99% sure it's related to the pop up marketing message that I had to clear after logging in to PayPal manually after seeing this issue the first time.

I was able to connect to PayPal today and update. I don't think I made any changes. I couldn't even get my Quicken program to complete the setup of online services with PayPal yesterday. Today it set up and downloaded properly.

It appears that Quicken or PayPal is making changes that affect "One Step Updates."

I don't think they are. This happens from time to time both with PayPal and with other sites. I'm pretty sure it's because they have put up a pop-up ad that appears during login and you need to log in to clear it. It still takes a day or two to clear the error in PayPal. Luckily PayPal only makes you see the ad once. I have a contact at Quicken that I will run by theory by.

I don't knonw what it is either. I tried adding PayPal to Quicken a couple of weeks ago. It gave me their 508 error. Saying something about a change Paypal was making to their website that I needed to address. I called PP. After a few mins. the rep. I spoke to said she reached out to a spvr. who told her there was some sort of file incompatibility between how they transmit and what Quicken wants. I told this to the Quicken support. They said if a *bank* makes a change they should notify Quicken. Anyway they said give it a few days.

I had gotten it to work a couple times. Then it stopped giving me CC501 (password prob.) I have been fooling w/it now for about 4 or 5 days.

Quicken had me do all kinds of password changes. Unlinks/Relink. Deact./React the account.

For some reason Quicken was Picking up 2 accounts. 1 with the email address in the signon. Another As PayPal Buyer Credit.

The email acct. had 0 bal. While the 2nd looked good. So I removed the email acct. After deleting both from Quicken I am now back to square 1.

Unable to add PayPal due to CC-508. If this is a popup issuw why can't they resolve it.
