Paypal: internal error, try again later. Help!

Why?  I need to confirm my bank account and I keep getting this message. I can't do that or access my wallet. I've tried opening a new tab (right clicking and selecting that), I've tried opening in a new window and I've tried clearing all of my cookies/history.  I've tried for half an hour now. I see this has happened to others, but I see no one replying with an answer.

can someone please help me?  Does anyone know anything about this?  I called Paypal, the guy was awesome, BUT he had no answer to this outside of this is a known issue and its nothing I'm doing wrong.  He checked everything and everything with my account is fine. But it's been days now. Maybe a week and I can't access my Wallet, back accounts... nothing like that. Just all of the other parts of my acount.

Yep me too. Days now. Can't find an answer. Can't stay on hold long enough to actually talk to someone. It's been days now and I can't find an answer. This is happening on my desk top. App seems to be working ok but I hate having to do everything with my phone:(

Are your browsers and computer operating system software up to date?  Do you have any anti-virus utilities turned on?

shut down browser, cleaned cookies, etc, then opened up 2 diff malware fighters and cleaned, opened up my 10bit to update every driver and database possible and ran.  Rebooted.  Same.  Opened in a whole seperate window... same.  That was in Chrome (which there has never been a past problem with). Repeated all of the previous with IE. Same.  The only thing I didn't do was fool with my antivirus or turn it off just to see if I could get in.  Customer support did tell me it's a known issue that can occur. But no other information than that or what to do.
