Need proof account has been closed.

Hi.

I've had my account for a few years now and really love the convenience it provides.

Unfortunately I'm on a government program that has requested that I close my PayPal Account and provide proof that I have done so.

1. Is there any way I can close the account and then somehow provide proof that I've done so?

2. Is there any way to re-open a closed PayPal account?

You need to go through the process of closing it first; you may not even be able to close it.  In the meantime phone PayPal support for help.

I would imagine PayPal emailing you a confirmation that you have successfully closed your account.  IF you closed your account, it can't be re-opened.  You also can’t close your account if there are limitations, unresolved issues, or a balance.  And if you have an email address on your account that you haven’t confirmed, remove it from your account before you close it.
