I live in an apartment building so I have to use a PO box, I thought I could just enter the street address without the apartment number but it just says "This does not appear to be a valid residential address. Please review the address and make any necessary changes."

You need a residential address.
A PO box is not adequate.
Does a postal carrier deliver to your building's other tennants?

It IS residental, it's an APARTMENT BUILDING.
Of course the mailperson does, it's an APARTMENT BUILDING.
What part of APARTMENT BUILDING did you not understand?

Residential address means address of the residence. The apparment building is a multi-unit building. The PO needs a way to identify the individual residence--the residential address of where you actually live-- the address of your home.

Did you phone your post office to ask about the correct address? The post office has to have the correct address on file.

It's literally the same street address I put on my billing information... This shouldn't even be possible...

A residential street address contains the number of the building and the street name, city, state, zip.
A PO (post office) box contains only a PO number, city, state, and zip.
If you live in an apartment building, just put the box number (which is not a PO box, but just a box number) and the street address. That should be a valid residential address.
If mail does not get delivered to your apartment building and you are forced to rent a post office box, you do not have a residential address. Find a friend who does and ask them if you can use their address for your card. You cannot deliver the card to a post office box.
