We run a a not for profit sports league and have a bank account in the UK. We have a paypal account setup (not sure what type). We would like to ask members of our league to pay us directly using paypal entry fees for various competitions. Do paypal's fees still stand for this or are they reduced or are there no fees?

Are you a registered non-profit?
There's likely to be fees. Registered non-profits receive discounted transaction fees.
If not a registered non-profit, a PayPal payment button or Buy Now button generated through the Seller Preferences of your account will do the job.
Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂

No how do we go about gaining such status? We run the league on a not for profit basis each year.

Thanks I just called up Paypal and they gave us the status after a few questions and checks.
