Setting up a payment page for sporting fees

Hi we have a paypal account and are a not for profit sports organisation. Can you please guide me to the right paypal products, cart, buttons etc that would enable us to do the following.

We aim to provide a way of members of our organisation paying their entry fees to various sporting events online using paypal, credit or debit card etc. This must be trackable ie they must have a name next to their entry. For the first event this is a singles league and we have 16 names players so what is the best way of collecting payments from these players - some sort of form where they have to add their name as a reference to a payment and select the league they are in from a dropdown or is it better to list all the players and make a separate button for each one?

What sort of options does paypal have for such?

You can just make a payment button here:

https://www.paypal.com/buttons/select

You can use a Pay Now button image from here:

https://www.paypal.com/c2/webapps/mpp/logos-buttons?locale.x=en_C2

(right-click on a button image to copy the image url to enter into the button settings while creating button)

You can add a text field to collect payer names and add a drop down menu containing league names to select from.  This info will pass with the payment and will appear on the PayPal Payment Received email confirmation email you get so you can reference who paid.

Check this page for all the various buttons available:

https://www.paypal.com/webapps/mpp/get-started/payment-button

If you are selling tix to one event, one Buy Now button would suffice.  For multiple events, use Add To Cart.

Although the buttons are fairly easy to make, having basic to medium experience with html is helpful.

Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂
