Hi there - im still struggling to wrap my head around all the paypal info - VERY confusing!!
ANyway - im using the regular checkout where someone is redirected to paypals site to complete checkout for a recurring paymant (annual).
I have the form ready and ipn listener set up-
What i want to know is will paypal use the same profileid / payer id in every recurring payment? i read somewhere paypal issues a new profile ID f the person changes credit cards or something -
what will paypal store on their db (that gets sent to ipn) that I can link to the user? Could /Should i store the paypal email address they use? Surely this wont change? Or can i trust the paypal profile id? (bot even sure if this is part of the IPN data)??
Just trying to link something in MY database with something (thst wont change) in Paypals database for recurring payments -
Thanks!
