I would like to request money to someone, as I am selling them an item not on eBay. For seller protection, I'd like to request the money as "Goods and Services" but I don't see that option when I click "Request Money". I have a business account if that makes any difference.

I am selling an item to someone not through eBay but they will be sending me the money via PayPal. The buyer is based in the US and I'm in Canada. I have given the buyer the price in USD and want to create an invoice on PayPal to send it to them, also for seller protection purposes. When I go to create an invoice, I notice that the currency is in my country's (CAD) but I would like it show up as USD. I have a business account and I have set my primary currency to USD (My account has both USD & CAD) and I still don't see an option to switch the invoice currency. Is there a way to make the currency, when creating the invoice on my side, to be USD instead of CAD?

Yes, that is exactly what happened to me where the PayPal balance option did not show up. That is why I started this topic in the first place. But like I said, once I clicked the CC option, it didn't take money from my CC at all. It took it from my PayPal balance first, and if there wasn't enough, it would have taken it from my CC.

Hi, If you read below the reply that I picked as the solution, I mentioned that once I chose the credit card option, it said it would take the money from my balance first and then the credit card. And that's exactly what happened when checking my PayPal payments.

Ooops sorry! I might have misread your reply. So I selected the credit card option and it said that it will take my balance first and the my credit card.

But my credit card has enough on the limit to pay for it and I don't want to use my credit card because of the exchange rate. And I have enough USD on my PayPal balance to cover the cost. So I don't know why it's not letting me select my PayPal balance.

Yes, I changed it to USD as the primary currency.

I'm from Canada but I have US funds on my business PayPal balance and the US online retail company (Everlan) allows PayPal at checkout. However, when I go to select PayPal as my method of payment, PayPal only allows me to select either my bank account or credit card as payments but not my balance. And yes, I have changed my preferred payment to be my balance first for online shopping. Does anyone know why it's not letting me select my balance to pay?

So I'm from Canada but I have some USD in my PayPal balance. I want to send my friend that lives in the U.S. some money but PayPal is charging me an extra $2.17 USD for doing that. I thought it was free to send money for friends and family. Can someone explain to me why there's a fee? My PayPal account I'm using is a business one if that matters.
