In 25th April of this year all my USD dollar balance was converted to my local (BRL). Also noticed that after that it always asks to proceed with CC confirmation in any shop. I don't have a cc that paypal accepts. Should I have a usd balance back? Does paypal still allow conversions? how to do it, i find it anywhere. Is that really the reason it always asks for a cc now?

I did that but I still have the message : Please add a credit card to complete your purchase. When trying to buy from this store. This is kinda ridiculous...

Even though I have credit on my wallet, seems like something has changed, I cant checkout without adding a credit card. This wasn't needed before. None of my cards worked there, so i just want to know if that's a new exigency for money conversion, if there's something I can do to buy internationally without a credit card? I saw there is a paypal international credit card, would that allow me to buy on the exterior using my paypal balance and doing the money conversion from it without having to ad my own paypal accepted credit card? Thanks!

Hello PayPal_Rich, thanks for replying to my topic. Okay I understand it is a prohibited activity according to paypal policy. What I dont get is why is my credit being hold on a situation where the buyer is accusing it as an unauthorized transaction, what do I have to do with this if there isn't any prove against me? I talked with the buyer and the only reply I got is that someone else used her account to buy this from me. So why does my credit have to be held if I did my part and have nothing to do with her problems? Also I found it pretty strange that it could happen 2 months after the transaction day. Isn't there a time limit for when someone can open a dispute like this? Sorry but it seems that paypal is supporting scammers, I've seem a bunch of cases like this and if it is really a matter using paypal do buy or sell bitcoins or other altcoins you should advice that to localbitcoins website and others to stop offering this option. The buyer stoped replying to my emails so I would like advices of how to solve this situation with paypal which is holding a credit that I need on the moment. I am really impressed of how easy it is for buyers to use paypal for frauds like this, not saying my case is a fraud but it could be.

I sold bitcoins at localbitcoins.com in about 3 months ago and now the buyer opened a dispute against me claiming a unauthorized transaction. I mailed him and he said that someone hacked his credit card and used it to the transaction and he is from us and . I am not sure if thats true, could be just a scam. The fact is that I send the btc receipt from localbitcoins and many screenshots and links proving that the transaction was made to the dispute. Paypal is telling that i have to wait 30 days for this dispute and is still holding my money. I contact localbitcoins and they said that his account is banned but the bitcoins were already widthdraw, in another words, they cant refund me. I saw other cases like this here and seems like the seller has no protection on those cases. How and where can I provide more information confirming that this trade was done and should I contact or call someone? It is a important amount of money to me. Until now I though paypal was working just as a bank but this buyer protection is really making me upset and i'm not really up to ever use it anymore. Should I ask localbitcoins to contact paypal or what else can I do?
