So my account became limited in January, been waiting to get the email from paypal saying I can withdraw my money. FINALLY on 6/20 I got that email saying "Your PayPal funds are eligible for withdrawal" ok GREAT. But I still wasn't able to transfer my money to my bank. Spoke with someone at paypal and they said they fixed it (after 2hrs on hold), and that he sent me an email that had a link in it I could click and would take me right to withdrawing my money, said to try in 10 minutes. 15-20 min later I tried, no luck...so ok the email should help me, but only to find out they never even sent the email to me. I still can't withdraw my money, WHY??? and now i'm being told I can't withdraw my money for ANOTHER MONTH. So than why did I get an email saying I could withdraw my funds now? doesn't seem right, none of this does. ... View more

Limitation is done, but still no money

So around x-mas time I sold my iPhone X so I could buy my kids something nice and paypal decided they wanted it more, so they kept it for the last 6 fricken months. Well I FINALLY got that email saying I can now withdraw my money to my bank account blah blah. Ok GREAT..so I try to do just that and NOTHING CHANGED, still saying they are unable to complete the transaction or some **bleep**. So after waiting 2 hours for a call back and than on hold for 45 minutes when they did finally call back I was told it would be fixed in 5-10 minutes, so I waited 30 just to be safe. Well NOTHING CHANGED, saying the same exact thing. The operator even told me that if that didn't work to just go to my email and he sent me an email with a link that would take me straight to where I needed to go (as if that was going to help) well again I was shocked to see I still haven't gotten an email and he claimed he sent it 45 minutes ago. Like what the hell I just want my dam money so I can be done with Paypals **bleep** once and forall, but i'm being fought every step of the way, any kind of help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You ... View more

That's what i'm saying, after I had to wait a few weeks for my money to be made available to me after the sale was when mine became limited. THE DAY it became available to me, over something that happened a few weeks before that sale, so basically over a month later they froze it. $1,000 held for 180 to a single parent ain't no chump change, not to me anyways. Good luck, hope you have better luck than I did. ... View more

Well yeah I saw that it said UP TO 180 days but I figured that was for people who actually did something in breach of the agreement. All I did was allow a friend of mine to withdraw his money from his account after he did something that got his account limited, which he was told to withdraw his money from his account, but because of his original limitation his bank account went in the negative so he had to close it, so he didn't have his own account. So i just helped out a friend and said he could withdraw it into my bank account, which I don't know what that has to do with my own paypal account. Me and him never had any transactions to one another, and i've made thousands of dollars in sales on my account. There's NOBODY i could talk to that could look into this for me, single mom with 2 kids here not trying to get rich..just trying to get by and this whole thing has made alot of things very difficult for me and I just want to move on from all this and get my hard earned money once and for all. ... Limited account

My account has been frozen for over 5 months now, i know i'm getting close to the end of their 180 day thievery timeline but I don't know exactly which day. The whole thing was **bleep** and it was funny that my account was frozen ONE DAY after my $1,000 was to be made available to me from selling my expensive brand new phone (only reason why I sold it was because I needed the money for my children, since their father decided he didn't want to help me financially with them anymore, was hard enough waiting a few weeks for that money to clear but I knew that going into it. I never thought they could or would just take and hold all that money for basically no reason. And the reason why i've been so sketched out about it all is because the incident they are using as an excuse to keep my money was WEEKS before the day they froze my account. It's like they deliberately and maliciously waiting until THE DAY my $1,000 payment was made available to me, which now was available to them.  A response from one of my many emails said one of the reasons they make people wait 180 days is incase the buyer requests for their money back. Which I was never worried about, but 2 months into my sentence there was still no complaints from the buyer. So at that point I should have been allowed to withdraw my money, so I could feed my **bleep** kids, which I even told them but they could care less. Don't you think if someone paid $1,000 for something, and didn't complain at all 2 months after the purchase that it means the sale went the way they expected? So logically there is no reason whatsoever for PayPal to continue holding my money, other than out of abuse of power. I've asked 6 times now this month for someone to tell me when exactly I will be allowed to finally get my money from the sale, considering the buyer got their phone, ebay got their fees, PayPal got their fees..I'm the only one who didn't benefit from that sale....COMPLETELY DISAPPOINTED  IN PayPal!!!!! ... limitation

So they put a limitation on my account simply because my friend had a PayPal account last year when he first started selling online, and seemed to have done something wrong (he still doesn't really know what he did, just accepted the fact that PayPal doesn't give 2nd chances for first time offenders). And after he waited 6 months to get his money unfrozen he needed to withdraw it, but his bank account he had specifically for his online selling was now closed because of a negative balance that would have never even happened in the first place if PayPal hadn't decided to freeze his money for so long. So i just told him we could connect my bank account to his PayPal so that he could finally get that money back. So now PayPal is telling me I can no longer use my PayPal account for that main reason, and I have 3 iPhone X's that sold on eBay AND they were already paid for. Are they really trying to tell me i'm gonna have to wait 6 dam months to get my money, when I've done NOTHING wrong? After hundreds of transactions I've have on PayPal (and all the money they made from me, between PayPal fees and eBay fees (eBay owns PayPal) ), and not one single complaint nor have i broken any kind of agreements I've made with PayPal, i'm being penalized for helping someone do what PayPal told him to do and empty his account so they can close it!!!????!!!????!!!????!!!?????  a Payment of $1,000 was FINALLY set to be released TODAY from the 21 day hold (and they decided to freeze my account the day before that happened? SUPER SHADY) ... View more
