Re: Activity with Running Balance?

Now I can't get this even - they don't like us looking at it because the balance is often wrong - a few times every week it's either too much or too little. I've been working with this over the years by adding a "discrepancy on PayPal" column to my spreadsheets.  But now there's no balance affecting column I can't even do that.  I'm going to come away from PayPal completely now I think. Shame, because I liked them...unless you know of another way to get to your actual balance without downloading that awful activity report? 🙂 ... View more

Well, it's because there was more money from that customer than the item was worth as several items were sent at once.  I have found PayPal increasingly disappointing over the last year or so, both as a buyer and a seller and, obviously, customers that open disputes instead of talking to you first are not going to return overpaid money and this is the case with this particular person.  I have always refunded my customers anyway without PayPal having to intervene but never before (in 7 years) have I ended up paying twice, even when there is a "glitch".  I think I shall be investing in a card machine from my bank - anyway, thanks for the answer.  Much appreciated - always great to have people in the know on  these forums 🙂 Have a great day. Refund paid twice.

Hi - I tried to refund a customer the other day but was told it hadn't gone through as there was an error and told to try again - so I did. The second went through successfully.  I then later found out that the first one had gone through too (it was a multiple sale so there was plenty of money to cover it).  I have tried several times to go through the resolution centre to have one of the payments repaid to me as it was not my fault and the customer isn't due two refunds on one item.  I also refunded them on another item (broken in the post) so have not been paid for anything that they did buy.  However, they just keep sending me round in circles, sending me emails telling me I can't attach files to them (I haven't sent any files) and I need to go back to the resolution centre and try again - and so it goes on.  There has been no resolution - it would seem I can only get resolution as a buyer, not a seller. Can someone please help. I don't want to phone because that takes hours out of my working day that I just don't have spare. Thanks - Samantha @ Rivey's Space. ... View more

BUT - 1) The transaction was never completed so why was there a fee? 2) I have never been charged to use my PayPal debit card before - why now? 3) What is a "c.c."?    4) My card was also declined tonight for no apparent reason, in a p.o. that I use everyday to send my ebay sales via.  Samantha @  Rivey's Space.          RiveysSpace Member     3 hours ago Donation - fee Hi - I tried to make a donation to charity with my  PayPal card - the transaction was declined (even though the money was available) yet I was charged a 73p fee.  Tried to dispute it through my PayPal page online but "error"s occurred.  Please explain! Hi there, Just read this below - it is now a year or two later and my card has just been declined also. I don't have time to keep ringing you all (I'm running a business) so will just keep trying to use it and see when it's sorted. Obviously, if it isn't sorted soon I shall have to use someone else.  I have refunded today by the way. Samantha @ Rivey's Space. ... View more

PayPal Prepay mastercard

Hi - I was invited to get a prepay card some time ago but at the time didn't think it appropriate - however, I feel it is now appropriate and wonder if I need to get a new invite - how I can do this if so - or if there is somewhere to apply these days. I'm looking to sever my ties with the banks via the business and do all my business through PayPal but of course, this means needing to be able to pay for things where PayPal isn't available. Many thanks, Samantha @ Rivey's Space. ... View more
