Hi, Just an update on my case... Although I am based in Uk I called US Customer Service because UK wasn't taking my call after 20 minutes. US Cistomer Service that additional manual reapyments, no matter how large the amount is does not trigger any denial of the loan. They also said that code 640 (which is what I'm getting when applying) means in US that I had some chargeback claim. Effectively in the last year I had two chargebacks of people who claimed unathorized charge despite they were participating and submitting works to the fine art photography competitions I organize. In both cases, it was people who after the judgement of the submitted works are not selected and opt for trying to get their money back ($90 in each case). I never make a dispute when somebody pay with a credit card because I think it is a waste of time, so I simply did not answer. After explaining the situation to Custormer Services theu told to go on applying on a daily or weekly basis since thing 'may' change. But suggested me to talk to UK because they may have different meaning for code 640. So I called UK again, waited for 12 minutes on the phone and talked to them. They told me code 640 or any other code has no specific meaning (?) but reviwed mu account and found out that I had more refunds last year than in previous one. I said that refunds increase as my sales increase and that all refunds were due to duplicated payment: people have the bad habit to click twice, hit back and pay again, etc. And as soon as we see a duplicated payment we email the customer and advice them that we have refunded their dumplocated payment. People thanks for that... Paypal put us a red flag. Customer service recommended me to send them a Paypal payment instead of hiting the refund key. Of course I will have to pay a commission for that payment, something that it's free when refunding. Another red falg in my account was that back in October last year my account was limited and was asked to change my password. The account was limited since I was working during October in Berlin and they recognized a different IP than the usual one, and indicated that they noticed unusual activity on my Paypal account and were concerned about potential unauthorized account access, asking me to reply online to some questions to verify identity and change the password, whihc was done minutes after receiving their notice. Customer Service told, as in US, that I should go on applying because this si an automatic system and thing change from one day to the other (?). I gave you all these informations to make aware all people asking for working capital that Paypal's algorythm is somehow bipolar, and may put red flags for 1) refunds, 2) chargebacks, 3) login from another IP which is not the usual one, 4) additional repayments?... maybe Hope this experience help other people... we must walk a fine line if we want to apply to working capital and beat the algorythm since good standing is not enough. I'll keep on trying, but not every dau or week, maybe every two weeks... who knows? maybe the current programmers of the algorythm get fired and we have an easier life working with Paypal 🙂
