Just had a call back. Waste of time! Didn't know how it could have happened.   Will try escalating this, as I am not satisfied that a completely different name and surname comes to my private address, where that person has never lived.   How can paypal link it? I'm furious they dismiss it as nothing, when it could be fraudulent. ... View more

It was addressed to the ex and also addressed to him on the letter inside. It was about inactivity. How can they link my ex husband from more than 12 years ago, to my current address where has never lived? That's the issue. ... View more

I received a letter in the post from Paypal this morning, which is oddly addressed in my ex husband's name!  My ex husband has never lived at this address, I remarried 6 years ago and moved here 4 years ago.   I have never shared a paypal account with anyone else and never shared a bank account with anyone, even whilst married. I have never shared an email address, either.   How can this be? ... View more

Re: When will I receive a refund

Hi, thanks for the advice, I will call them tomorrow, as it is closed now.    When I called earlier, they asked me to repeat the reference number and then select an option or say something. I will try ignoring the "robot" or say the word "agent" to see if I get through to a real person. Not sure why they have to make it so difficult to communicate with them. ... View more

When will I receive a refund

I sent an item back to China and uploaded the tracking info to Paypal, as requested. Paypal had already said that I would receive a refund once tracking showed it had been delivered (see bottom of message).   The item is now showing by Royal Mail as being delivered on 2nd Jan, yet the status has remained the same and I have still not received a refund. When would I expect to receive a refund?   I have emailed customer services - generic reply I have called customer services - robotic response, no live person on the other end of the phone. I have no way of letting them know it has been delivered, but I know for sure, the seller will not let them know. The delivery was previously attempted 10 times.   We've shared this tracking information with the seller and asked them to let us know when they've received the item back.  If they don't confirm receipt of the item, we'll evaluate your tracking information. Once we've confirmed , we'll issue a refund.   ... View more

Unresolved claim still pending

I have a claim pending in the resolution centre.   To cut the story short, I purchased some shoes from China. I tried cancelling them after they failed to arrive within 7 days (postage stated 3-5 days/postage and was £14.99) , but they told me they had been sent. They were sent 9 days after purchasing! The shoes were for an occasion which had passed, so no longer wanted.   Paypal agreed that I should receive a refund for the shoes and the postage to me (not for return postage). I uploaded the tracking number to paypal, as requested. A message states that if they require additional information, they will contact me by 21st December.   According to Royal Mail the package has been in China since 16th December, but there has been no activity shown on the website since then. Tracking no. RH080204549GB   Does anyone know what the next stage is please? I get automatic replies from Paypal, when using the help section.   ... View more
