PayPal Shipping was excellent, **bleep**Station is useless for us as it does not support printing labels to the Dymo LabelWriter 450 Turbo.  Totally useless.  As such, we have just opened an account with PirateShip.  Same great discounts, and it supports our label printers.  And it will bill to our PayPal account.   Seriously going to shop around since PayPal is getting to be more hassle than its worth.  Every few accesses to PayPal, we have to verify our account AGAIN - pain in the shorts.  PayPal no longer refunds fees for cancelled transactions (showing their eBay pedigree there) and now this shipping fiasco.  Time to shop around for another provider. ... Exactly where is the Business Account (which I have) is there an option to require a phone number?  I am not seeing it.  Also, payments coming from eBay sales are now NOT showing the customer's email address, which we use to send an electronic Invoice & shipping confirmation back to the customer.  This is getting to be a real pain in the **bleep**. ... Just got off the phone with PayPal tech support.  PayPal has stopped providing phone numbers with customer transactions and this is causing us major headaches.  UPS, FedEx, etc., REQUIRE phone numbers in order to process a shipping label.  Now, we have to go back to each of our customers via email, ask them their phone number, and this is delaying shipping.  PayPal gave me some bullsh__ story about how providing phone numbers costs PayPal money, and when I challenged that, I was told that they are "not storing phone numbers".  REALLY?  Anyone who believes that needs professional help.   Can anyone provide first-hand information on a good, reliable alternative service to PayPal? ... That is a very myoptic view.  Maybe most of YOUR sales might ship USPS FCM, but there are thousands of us whose sales are shipped via other carriers.  USPS is NOT always the least expensive; as a matter of fact, FedEx and UPS are cheaper for larger, heavier packages much of the time.  ALL of my eBay transactions were coming across with phone numbers (as long as the buyer provided a phone number to PayPal) until recently so something has changed with eBay/PayPal.  Like I said, my transactions through my webstore always come across with a phone number (again, if the buyer provided it to PayPal, the majority of which do). ... Transactions we receive from eBay transactions are coming across without a valid telephone number, which our database requires before we can process a shipment, thus delaying our shipment while we have to go back to eBay and do a Customer Contact Information request.  Yes, transactions from our webstore sales have the customer's telephone number.  Why is that?  What do we need to do to get valid customer telephone numbers on ALL transactions? ... I realize that PayPal wants to have pages which are optimized for phones since many folks are paying using their phones.  I have absolutely no problem with that.  But why can't PayPal allow us to set, as a default, whether we want to have phone-optimized or classic view pages displayed to us?  There are still a few of us dinosaurs who conduct our business at an honest-to-God, desktop computer and having to constantly call up an additional, "classic view" page in order to see the customer's phone number and to input the shipping tracking information is a real pain in the shorts.  And every time a user has to call up another page, its a hit on your servers and it does take time.  I would think it is in your best interest to minimize how many pages you must serve up per transaction.   Also, is there a reason why PayPal can not standardize the customer's phone numbers?  Another annoying tidbit. ... I realize that more and more buyers are using their cell phones and that PayPal wants to provide those users with a format that is suited for cell phone screens.  Nothing wrong with that.   But I do have a BIG problem with this new layout which assumes everyone is accessing PayPal via cell phone.  The new page layout may be wonderful for cell phone users, but for those of us who conduct real business using a real desktop computer, the new page sucks.  First, the new page does NOT provide the customer's phone number.  For that you have to go to the "classic" page.  The new page also does not allow sellers to add shipping information - again, you have to go to the "classic" page.   Why is it that every other site I go to has the ability to determine if I am accessing it from my cell phone or my desktop, and serves up the apporpriate page layout?  Why can't PayPal do the same?  Its a pain in the shorts to have to constantly click on "classic" page and have that brought up.  It also means additional hits on PayPal's servers.  If the programmers at PayPal can't figure out how to identify a user's platform and serve up the appropriate page, then how about allowing those of us who want to see ONLY the "classic" page layout to set that as our account default?   I have sent this recommendation into PayPal numerous times, and obviously it is ignored.  Now I think I'm the only dinosaur left on Earth that uses a desktop computer to conduct my business.  It may see like insignifica to you, but to me it adds up quickly.  "Pennies add up to dollars" as the saying goes, and those extra clicks and waits for the "classic" page to be displayed adds up.  To the point that I am now seriously considering an alternative to PayPal for my online sales. ...
